This “nuts and bolts” seminar teaches the concepts and tools of effective project management for architects, engineers, principals, project managers, and others involved in the business processes of A/E firms.  Participants will learn how project managers can help to market projects, control design costs, and effectively manage the project team. Join Howard Birnberg, an architect by training and Executive Director of the Association for Project Managers, to discover the best approaches to effective project management that you can immediately apply in your own organization.

Mr. Birnberg is the author of numerous books and manuals including “New Directions in Engineering and Architectural Practice," McGrawHill, 1992, “Project Management for Building Designers and Owners,” CRC Press, 1998, “Project Management for Small Design Firms," McGrawHill, 1992 and “Project Management for Designers and Facilities Managers,” J. Ross Publishing, 2008.

He was formerly an instructor in the Office of Executive Education at the Harvard University, Design School and formerly at the University of Wisconsin, Engineering Professional Development Program, Madison where he constructed “Effective Project Management For Building Design and Construction” for nearly 20 years. He also served as a visiting adjunct assistant professor at Michigan State University conducting a project management distance learning course.
