Using Your Data as Sample Data

Many Clients would like to see what would happen to their data without affecting their real data. A great way to accomplish this is to use your own data as sample data. To do this, follow these steps.

1. Create a backup of your current data. To do this, Go to File-> Database backups.
2. After you have created your backup, Log out of Ajera. Open Ajera and type Ajera
   Tools in the login ID field and click connect.
   
3. Go to the tools menu and select Restore database.
   
4. Type in a database name that you will use for your company sample data. (Sample [company name])
5. In the backup file name, select the backup that was just created.
6. Click restore. When you have restored your data, Login using the database name you created and your regular login ID (sample [company name]/Login ID) Use your regular password and click connect.

You will now be able to use your live data up to this point as your sample data. This way you can create transactions and be able to see how it affects your data.
